Understanding Anesthesia – Patient Tools from NAPA

No doubt you’ve heard the expression, “knowledge is power.” Well, when it comes to your surgery and understanding anesthesia, those words have never been truer. That’s why North American Partners in Anesthesia (NAPA) has created a series of patient brochures – that you can download below – to help you, your family and loved ones gain an understanding of anesthesia and the entire anesthesia process.

The first brochure covers information on the anesthesiologist’s job in regards to administering anesthesia and options for pain management services following the surgery. The second brochure discusses regional anesthesia – which involves both spinal anesthesia and epidural anesthesia. The final brochure contains a simple question and answer guide concerning anesthesia for children.
