History of North American Partners in Anesthesia
In 1986, NAPA was founded by a small anesthesia group from North Shore University Hospital, located in Manhasset, Long Island, with the goal of providing the highest-possible quality anesthesia services to the hospital’s operating facilities. From that beginning NAPA has expanded to six states and will continue to grow, striving to remain the most progressive Anesthesia Management Company in the nation.

- 1986: Founded at North Shore University Hospital (Manhasset, Long Island, NY) as North Shore Anesthesia Associates
- 1989-2002: Added 10 Hospital-based anesthesia departments as the North Shore-LIJ Health System expanded
- 1995: North Shore Pain Services formed
- 1997: First expansion outside North Shore-LIJ Health System through Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY
- 2000: Renamed North American Partners in Anesthesia (NAPA);
Comprehensive Health Care Administration (CHCA) founded
- 2001: North Shore Pain Services renamed North American Partners in Pain Management (NAPPM); NAPA is a founding member of the Anesthesia Business Group;
PRASEC formed
- 2002: Expansion outside of New York state into Maryland & New Hampshire
- 2005: CHCA becomes NAPA Management Services Corporation (NMSC)
- 2006: Expansion into Pennsylvania
- 2007: Began practice management for Allied Pediatrics of New York
- 2008: Expanded into New Jersey and added first Anesthesia Residency Program
- 2010: Further Expansion in to Pennsylvania and New York. Addition of second Anesthesia Residency Program
- 2011: NAPA Management Services Corporation enters into recapitalization agreement with Moelis Capital Partners
