The Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center of New York is a tertiary (teaching) hospital committed to comprehensive care of children, from infants to young adults. The hospital has 154 beds arranged in separate units on five floors. Each has their own nursing and social work staffs, as well as playrooms.
The Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center of New York treats everything from childhood diseases to cancer and epilepsy. There are special services for Lyme Disease, the deaf, food allergies and dentistry among others. Schneider is also a research hospital with work ongoing in such areas as depression, hyperactivity, cancer, eating disorders and congenital malformations. The hospital’s ON CALL Program provides pediatricians for families when their own pediatrician is unavailable. |
