 NAPA Anesthesiologists Participate in Overseas Medical Mission

NAPA anesthesiologists recently participated in a Medical Mission with the Volunteer Health Program "Eye Care for the Undeserved" Mission at ILAC in Santiago, Dominican Republic. Dr. Julissa Cruz from Westchester Medcial Center and Dr. James Walsh from North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset traveled to the Dominican Republic in March of 2009 to assist the mission in its program to offer high quality and accessible eye care to under-served rural areas in Central America and the Dominican Republic.
Through the participation of Drs. Cruz and Walsh, NAPA anesthesiologists comprised half of the anesthesia care team during VHP's 2009 mission. Pictured below from left - right are Dr. Cruz and Dr. Walsh in the operating room during the 2009 mission
